Weekend Stories – Abigail and Greg

Welcome to another edition of #WeekendStories. Today, we’ll be sharing about Abigail and Greg.

Abigail and Greg got married 7 years ago. Since then, they have been trying to conceive to no avail.
Abigail has gone for tests, undergone some treatment as she discovered that she had a few issues that made conception difficult. She has gone through corrective surgery and has been given the green light by her doctors.

While she went through her treatment, Greg was very unsupportive. He keeps insulting and abusing her that she can’t get pregnant; that she is not a woman; that her womb must have been damaged through many abortions.

Abigail was given the green light about 3 years ago. Since then, they’ve been trying yet there is no pregnancy to show for their efforts. After many quarrels and settlement, Greg agreed to go for
tests to know what the issue really was. He only went for the test when his father, who had been his strongest supporter, asked him to go for the test.

They went and they were asked to run tests which they did and the results came out. To Abigail’s shock, Greg is actually impotent. He is incapable of fathering a child.

Greg wants Abigail to keep this result a secret between them. He is suggesting that they buy a child from a baby factory and pass the child off as theirs. He keeps talking about a wife standing by her husband, no matter what happens.

Abigail is currently at crossroads. Should she honor her marital vows to a man who had no reservations throwing her under the bus when she needed him to honor his marital vows or should she walk away and start a new life?
