I shared a few tweets with some of the lessons I have learned so far as an engineer and while running a community for professionals.
Lesson 2 – Write down your goals as they crystallize in your mind. The path you choose will be updated as things get clearer. Still have your goals written down and make sure you review the goals periodically.

Lesson 4 – After getting clearance from the Lord, say yes to opportunities, even the ones you are not yet qualified for. Be honest about your competencies so that those in charge can make informed decisions on whether they want to support you as you grow into the role or not.

Lesson 6 – Still on pivoting. If you are making any modifications to your career path, find ways to leverage on your previous work experience in your new career path. Do not trash everything as there are still valuable skills from your past that can be used in your new field.

Lesson 8 – Engage HR Professionals and well meaning colleagues to review your offer letters. I have been saved a few times from accepting offers that could have ended up as career traps by getting others to review an offer. #TTMProfessionals

Lesson 10 – Nurture your work relationships. Check up on your colleagues but don't cross professional boundaries. Be respectful. Your colleagues may not be your friends but make sure you do all you can to at least be cordial with them.#ttmprofessionals
